Birth Doula Support Package
Our relationship starts with a consultation to chat and discuss your wishes, answer your questions, and see if we are good fit for each other.
Prenatal Support
Two 90-minute prenatal meetings, one at the beginning of our time together, the second around 36 weeks of pregnancy. During these meetings we will get to know each other, make a plan for education (class, book, podcast recommendations, etc), outline birth preferences, discuss fears hopes and questions. We will also talk through preparing for postpartum and bringing baby home.
Unlimited phone/text/email support, answering any questions you have, or virtual support during appointments, or if you’re looking for recommendations or referrals.
If an induction is planned, I offer a phone call the day before to set expectations and answer questions.
Optional third in person visit for positioning and alignment to help labor start if contractions are on and off, or if an induction is planned.
Labor Support
I am officially on call for you two weeks before your due date, this means my phone is on and on me, and I am staying local to the area. I am generally always on call for someone, so if you need me before your on call time I am most likely still available.
Virtual support (phone, text, FaceTime) during early labor (when you are home) to offer reassurance, suggestions for comfort, reminders to eat and rest, and deciding when to go to the hospital.
Continuous in person support for active labor through delivery, including emotional support, advocacy with hospital staff, decision making support, working with your partner/support people, hands on support and positions suggestion. I am now a certified Body Ready Method® Pro, and bring those skills and knowledge with me to births.
I stay for 1-2 hours after your baby arrives to help with skin to skin contact, feeding initiation, and settling in before I head home.
Postpartum Support
1-2 hours postpartum support directly after delivery to support with initiating breastfeeding, and getting you settled in with your baby.
Special next day check-in at the hospital to bring you a coffee or smoothie and see how you and your little one are doing.
90-minute at home postpartum visit during the first two weeks to check-in and follow up from your birth and pass along any resources you may need.
